Benefits Of A Healing Ministry For a Church Community

The huge scale of human suffering is a major obstacle to Christian belief. How can a good and loving God permit such meaningless, haphazard pain and tragedy? So, Christian apologetics indicated how God is at work to bear the pain, heal sickness and infirmity, create wholeness, transform agonising situations into creative ones, and see death as both a terminus and a transition.

Theological affirmations

The Christian approach to health and healing is based on convictions about the nature of man, the significance of Jesus and the continuing work of the Holy Spirit and not on the conventional sense.

Christians believe that its God’s world, brought into being by his Word, and sustained by his Spirit. His will is that all his creation should find the harmony for which it is designed: harmony between the many aspects of the human person (physical, mental, spiritual), between man and his fellows and his communities, between man and the natural order, and between man and the source of all value and being, God the Father.

Given the global importance of healing in the Christian vision, and the many forms it takes, it is impossible to provide simple guidelines for Healing Ministry in England and other places. The key thing is that all healing endeavours, offered by the church, should be congruent with our theological vision. Our focus must be on what will restore and develop people’s relationship with God, trusting that this will lead to the healing God desires. Failure to maintain this focus can lead to a ‘results’-based mentality which, too easily, panders to modern illusions about what constitutes well-being. Healing Ministry Church London aims to dispel that. The difference is aptly, if starkly, illustrated by the saying, “Being healed is being liberated to take up our cross and follow Christ.

Every person, despite his or her limitations, is intended by God to experience salvation as seen in Jesus Christ. There is therefore no place for fatalism. No person is ever ‘hopeless.

The symptoms of man’s disease are not all physical. They include guilt, isolation, alienation, lack of love, despair, the breakdown of relationships and, particularly, fear. The potential destructiveness of these elements cannot be overcome by merely physical remedies. Nor can man’s need be met unless there is a readiness to face the realities of life. For that reason – and also because of the relevance of wholeness to health – many forms of healing ministry are needed. Not least among these is the skilled and compassionate help the Church can offer.

This is seen in the deliberate mishandling of God’s world, in the neglect of the needs of fellow men and women, and even in suspicion and hatred of other humans.

Conclusion

Healing Ministry Church Enfield has many testimonies of people getting healed of many ailments – the power of God is flowing but we need to be willing to be received and be in a church where healing is still taking place.

Healing Church Ministry in London, UK

There are many different types of healing: Physical Healing by the use of medication, physiotherapy etc or Spiritual Healing.

As a healing church ministry in London, UK we believe that Jesus still heals today with His power as its says in the Bible in the Great Commission to Heal the Sick, cast out Demons and Preach the Gospel (Mark 16:15 – 18). Jesus did not compromise the gospel but did all that was required of Him and more. He was apostolic, prophetic, a healer, an evangelist, preacher, exorcist and more! As a healing church in London, UK we believe the same that we too should pray for the sick, command spirits out and preach the undiluted gospel of Jesus and as we do this, the Kingdom of God has come among us. The problem today is a) many people seeking healing from sources that are spiritual but not from God. This will bring other problems as they are seeing healing from spirits that are not from the real God of heaven. The healing may come temporarily or permanent but there will be a price to pay for this type of healing. But Jesus never asks for anything back, all he wants us to do is have a relationship with Him by repenting of our sins and asking Jesus to become our personal Saviour. As He healed yesterday, he will do the same today in our healing, apostolic and prophetic ministry church in London, UK

Does the church still heal today?

The answer to the above question is YES in His healing, apostolic church in London, UK! As the Bible says in James 5:14 that the elders are to lay their hands on the sick, anoint them with oil and pray for the sick. But what should we do to receive this gift of healing?

Repent of all past sins and b) forgive those that have hurt us, these are both very basic yet crucial elements are receiving salvation, healing, the prophecy, deliverance etc in His healing, prophetic and apostolic church in London, UK

Without doing these two very simple things, one may be blocking everything else that God wants to bestow upon you. Look at what Jesus says in Matthew 6:14 that when you forgive other people when they do wrong to you, then your heavenly Father will also forgive you. This does not mean we can forget what people have done to us but we have to forgive them so we can move on and obviously, we do not allow them to hurt us again. As VIC is a healing, apostolic, and prophetic ministry church, we know that you can be healed, prophesied over and sent out to the nations of the world to do God’s work!

Types of Spiritual Healing

I can receive from Victory in Christ Ministries which is a healing, prophetic and apostolic church in London, UK

There are two types of healing we need to ask the Lord for a) Physical Healing b) Emotional Healing. God can and will heal both if we believe in Him, forgive those that have hurt us and repent of all of our sins.

Physical Healing is when you feel pain or the doctors have diagnosed something in your body that you have to have treatment for. Emotional healing is when you feel pain, hurt or even anger with what people have done to you in the past. It’s easy to detect physical pain but not always easy to detect emotional pain….as you may still have deep wounds which you don’t even realise you have and only when you are in a situation the memory of what has been done to you comes back and you feel the pain of that emotional hurt, this is where you need to be healed emotionally and unless you do, some parts of your life cannot move forward i.e., in finding a spouse to get married as you may always feel the pain of what someone previously did to you and hence all the barriers go up, you may become aggressive towards this new person in your life and may even walk out of the relationship before it has even started or worse treat that person badly as you don’t want them to hurt you as you are feeling vulnerable. So when you attend our healing, prophetic and apostolic church in London, UK ask God to heal you of all your wounds both physically and emotionally.

The meaning of Agape (love)

On Sunday the 3:6 teens looked at the concept of Love.

Our mission verse states that it was because of His great Love for us that God sent His son, Jesus, to die for us.

What then does it mean to love someone or something?

As expected, we thought immediately of our families and our mothers in particular.  Our family loves us and we love them – even our brothers and sisters and ancient grandparents we have to kiss at Christmas. Some of the reasons for our love for family (familial love) are

1 – They care for us (Food, Clothing, Shelter)

2 – They know us and accept us

3 – The can never be replaced

4 – They Love us! – it is easy to love someone who loves you.

We also discussed our Friendships and Love for others.  This is an instinctive love for all other called compassion and empathy.  We don’t like to see others suffer or in pain and distress. Unfortunately friends, even very good friends, come and go throughout our lives.

Eros is the Love we have for the opposite sex and the love we have for our partner and (one day) our spouse. This is a very special and strong love bond which must not be taken lightly and we must be careful and responsible to whom we extend such Love.

We also have a love of things, of activities and of many other things such as style, taste, music, sport and such. We need to be very cautious that we do not confuse the love between man and woman as just an activity. Objective Love, Unlike Eros, is very fleeting and fickle and changes almost all the time as we change and society changes.  Suddenly that trendy sweater is, “so last year…”

Finally there is Agape love – a mother’s love. This is a totally unconditional love without reason or any expectation.  This is how God loves us – for no reason – nothing we have done or even can do – we cannot earn it and we definitely don’t deserve it. God’s Agape loves last forever – we cannot lose it – we just need to accept it, celebrate it and live our lives surrounded by it.

As we, teenagers, enter into a new phase of life, we realize everything is changing, Our schools, our friends, our wants and goals, our bodies and emotions and our viewpoints and understanding of the human politic around us. As children of God it is vital that we know that God and His Agape love for us Never changes. He accepts us as we are. We do not have to impress Him or dress a certain way or do anything – He loves us.

Every morning, when brushing your teeth, look in the mirror, beyond everything you see and say, “Thank you Lord for loving me no matter what…I love you!

Introduction to VIC Youth

3:6 Teens is the Victory in Christ Youth Group who love Jesus and are committed to living their lives for His glory. We stand on John 3:16, knowing that we are loved and accepted by God and through Jesus, His son, we get to spend eternity in Heaven.  We also know that God loves to bless us on Earth and Jesus is our companion, guide and friend no matter what the circumstances. He really does Love us.

Please login to our bi-weekly Blog where we will be looking at our Sunday discussions and also at the topics which matter to us today. Secondary School these days is filled with pressures, stresses and anxieties from teachers, parents, friends and even our own bodies… Knowing that we are loved and accepted by Christ is what gives us the confidence and strength to shine for Him and excel in all that we do…

Our starting point is our verse John 3:16, which is vital that we fully understand.  Every 1st and 3rdSunday of the month, we have very informal and frank discussions regarding concepts such as God, Love, His son, Beliefs and Life and others. These impact and influence our daily lives so it is important to know what the Bible has to say on these and many other issues. We also encourage and help each other both in person and via our Whatsapp group.

3:6 Teens meet on a Sunday Morning at VIC Church, 10.30 – 12.00, and all Year 7 to 11 are very welcome and encouraged to join.

KEITH’S TESTIMONY

My testimony is all about God’s great love, mercy, grace and patience with a lost soul.

Two months later, walking up the church aisle to practice the organ and I heard, “Keith, there is more!” I looked around to see who has spoken – I was alone. God had spoken to me directly by His Holy Spirit. Sadly through 32 years of church life there had been no teaching on, or mention of, the Holy Spirit. Not knowing any better, I said to myself, “How much more can there be, I’m on the P.C.C., the R.D.C., the mission committee and I’m the organist and choirmaster!” (Even writing it years later, I cringe) How arrogant and ignorant was I?

God, over the next two years, kept calling me. Every two months, on my own in church as I walked up the aisle to practice I’d hear, “Keith, there is more” and “Keith, I have more for you.” After the fourth time God reminded me of that arrow prayer, ‘God – there must be more.’ I’d worked out by this time that this was God’s Holy Spirit at work but because of the lack of teaching I was both scared and isolated, so said nothing to anyone.

Over the next 18 months I was to lose my best man to cancer at 37 and my mother in law, also to cancer, at 57. In their last months of life I could see, in their eyes, they had the ‘more’ that God was calling me to. I was determined to seek this for myself. On the first Saturday of November of the second year I had been given an invite to an Anglican Renewal Day, I knew but I knew I had to go for there I would find the ‘more’ God was calling me to, so off I went. It was to be a day of firsts!

I’d been a churchman for 34 years and I was seeing hands raised in praise and worship for the first time. The songs were all new to me (I’d only been used to hymns Ancient & Modern). I liked what I was hearing, fresh and heart-warming. The leader got up to pray. He asked us to remain standing, close our eyes and hold our hands out to receive – another first. The moment he started to pray I pictured him with a red telephone and a cable going up through the ceiling and clouds, directly to a second red phone in God’s hand. I had been used to prayers read from a book. I had never heard prayers prayed from the heart – yet another first. I thought, “Wow! This guy really knows who he’s talking to.” The prayer continued and became more personal, “Those who have come today and want to know Jesus more fully in their lives, put your hand up.” Well, this was it, this was why I had come. “No turning back now, Evans”, I said to myself and up went my hand.

A member of the ministry team was immediately at my shoulder (I wondered if I had a big sign over my head – ‘ripe for harvest!’) This was to be a day of firsts. First the raised hands, the new songs, the red telephone, the open hands – now tongues. I knew this was one of the spiritual gifts, and it sounded angelic. As the person prayed over me in tongues – Peace, peace that the world cannot give – this Godly peace flowed in waves through my body from head to feet, wave after wave after wave – then, to my horror sobs and tears. I sobbed for about 20 minutes while wave after wave of God’s peace cleansed and renewed me.
